Palouse Zen Community Zazen sitting meditation:

  • Thursday evenings we gather on zoom from 7 to 8PM.

Our schedule:
7:00 PM Zazen
7:25 PM Kinhin
7:30 PM Zazen or Sutras (we chant sutras on the 2nd Thursday of each month)
7:55 PM ending sutra (Four infinite vows)
8:00 PM end

Zen Center of Spokane

  • Wednesday evenings (in person only).
  • Saturday morning in person and on Zoom.

Other upcoming practice opportunities:

Jan.15-22:
From Mountian Lamp: Jack will be leading a 7-day intensive zoom retreat from Jan.15-22. The retreat will start at 9 am on 1/15 (there will not be teisho that day and dokusan will start in the afternoon) and it will end at 12 pm on 1/22 (there will be dokusan on 1/22). This retreat will be for 15 full-time only participants and the retreat will include daily teisho, dokusan, sutras, and zazen from 9 am – 5 pm.  A more detailed schedule will be posted in early January If you would like to register, please send a non-refundable $100 check to Jack Duffy; Box 236; Deming Wa 98244 to hold your space. The total cost for the retreat will be $250 + dana.

Dharma discussion groups

Spokane Zen Community -The third Saturday of the month in person or on zoom. The Spokane Sangha is currently reading The Mind of Clover by Robert Aitken.
**The SZC December’s discussion group has been canceled. The January discussion will take place on January 8th, the second Sunday of the month.
